A darkly funny document-thriller set on the border of a potato kingdom. Inspect the paperwork, enforce the rules of the day, and decide who gets waved through — and who gets sent back.
Spud Customs puts you in the booth as a border patrol officer for a proud, paranoid potato kingdom. Every traveller that rolls up to your window comes with a passport, a stack of documents, and a story. Your job is to compare what they say against the rulebook, catch the forgeries and contraband, and stamp approved or denied before the line backs up. If you have ever wanted a Papers, Please–style inspection game with a sillier, spud-shaped heart, this is it.
The catch is that the rules never sit still. One day the kingdom bans imports from a rival province; the next, a new visa stamp becomes mandatory and yesterday's valid paperwork is suddenly a violation. Miss a detail and you take a citation. Nail a tricky case and you feel like a genius. The tension between speed and accuracy is the whole game.
If you enjoy tense management sims, moral micro-decisions, and games that make paperwork weirdly gripping, Spud Customs is built for you. It runs on Windows via Steam, with a browser-friendly build available on itch.io. It is developed in the Godot Engine by Lost Rabbit Digital, an indie studio founded by two brothers.
